About Goody Goody Laura Holmes, Owner & Designer Laura Holmes started designing and making her own clothes and shoes when she was in the fourth grade. Having been raised in cities across the globe, she was exposed to cultures that have influenced her creativity over the years. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. When the first of her three children was born, she found her calling and went into business for herself. As it turns out, the handmade infant shoes on her daughter's feet were getting more attention than the baby! Thus, Goody Goody was born in the basement of her home, and for sixteen years the company has been growing. Laura expanded the children's collection from infant leather shoes and introduced the Bon Bon collection of luxurious slippers, that were so heavily coveted by many mothers that she began producing them in women sizes. Desire for Goody Goody products increases daily, so Laura has expanded by introducing lounge wear, handbags, and jewelry & cosmetic travel accessories. Goody Goody products are featured in stores, museums, catalogs, and websites nation and worldwide. Currently Laura finds inspiration in beautiful fabrics, nature (especially flowers), her husband, and most of all her children.
